<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate concentration difference of electrolyte by arranging a cooling device which is in contact with a gas phase within a cell and a means by which water condensed from water vapor contained in the gas phase with the cooling device is supplied to the lower part of the cell. CONSTITUTION:Water vapor in a gas phase 7 which is in equilibrium with that on the surface of electrolyte 4 is condensed on the surface of a cooling device 5 which is in contact with the gas phase 7, then water drops are formed and drop inside a cylinder 6. Water or dilute sulfuric acid is filled in the cylinder 6, and water or dilute sulfuric acid is supplied from a lower end opening of the cylinder 6 to the lower part of the cell as water drops. Thereby, electrolyte in the lower part of the cell is diluted and concentration difference of electrolyte is eliminated. Therefore, sulfation and performance decrease in the lower part of plate is prevented.</p> |
