PURPOSE:To bring a degaussing head into contact with a head to be degaussed in a correct state by eliminating an inclination of the degaussing head, by varying a plate width of a spring material in the right and left so that the right and left forces of the spring material for pushing back the degaussing head become equal to each other. CONSTITUTION:A degaussing head 4 contacts a spring material 12A, an operating piece 10 of a microswitch 6 is operated and a degaussing voltage is generated, but in a point P on which the degaussing head 4 abuts, reaction forces F1, F2 of the spring of the right and left are different from each other. That is to say, on the left side, the spring reaction force of the operating piece 10 is applied to the spring material 12A, therefore, F1 becomes larger than F2, and the degaussing head 4 is inclined. Therefore, in order that the spring reaction forces of the right and left become roughly equal, a plate width d2 of the spring material 12A is formed so as to be larger than a plate width d1. Therefore, the reaction forces of the spring become equal on the right and left parts, and the degaussing head 4 moves backward without being inclined, and can contact a head to be degaussed in a correct state. |
