PURPOSE:To prevent the end tooth bearing of a gear when there is a variance in gear meshing in a reduction gear employing a planetary gear mechanism by arranging a ring gear radially displaceable relative to the axis of sun gear or output shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a hydraulic motor 8 is driven, a carrier 12 is rotated at a reduced speed by the meshing of sun gear 11 on the motor's drive shaft 10, planetary gear 15 and the internal gear 28 of a ring gear 27, and by the rotation of a pinion gear 18 which is integral with the carrier 12 on the internal circumference of a rotary wheel, the rotary superstructure such as construction machines is rotated. In this instance, the ring gear 27 is fixed in position by retainer wheels 36, 37 after engaging upper and lower engagement parts 31, 32 which are formed on the top and bottom of a geared section 29 having the internal gear 28 to a stepped part 35 and a supporting part 24 which are projecting from a rear cover 32 and a casing 21. The internal gear 28 is made radially displaceable by engaging with splines 34, 35 projecting from the rear cover 32 and casing 21.
