PURPOSE:To form special patterns in the variety of designs without printing of background, by striking special pattern forming types again already printed patterns. CONSTITUTION:After printing is done in ordinary way, types for formation of special patterns are located in printing position. Amount of micromovement of a carrier 2 or a platen 13 classified by type of pattern is stored in a ROM16. A control device 32 reads out the amount of micromovement and causes micromovement of a carrier motor 1 and/or a paper feeding motor 14 twice or more. A control device 33 drives a lift motor 29 to locate a correcting ribbon 8 in printing position and actuate a hammer 11 whenever the position of the special pattern forming type is changed minutely relative to that of already printed pattern so that the special pattern forming type may strike the already printed pattern, with the correcting ribbon 8 interposed between them. Thus a part of pattern is erased locally and designed special patterns are formed readily. |
