PURPOSE:To prevent calibration errors depending on the difference in the ion activity coefficient, by employing components containing electrolytic ion composing human serum to dissolve it into a solvent to almost match the concentration of those in the serum. CONSTITUTION:As protein is contained in the normal human serum at the rate of 70g/l, protein is added to a standard liquid which contains 100mmol/l of NaCl, 30mmol/l of NaHCO3 and 10mmol/l of Na2HPO4 at the rate of 70g/l. If so, a potential (ep) corresponding to protein components generates when measuring the ion concn. of the standard liquid to offset the potential difference (ep) due to protein as caused at the measurement of a sample blood thereby enabling more accurate calibration of the equipment. |
