PURPOSE:To detect the length of a diameter, by turning ON and OFF a pressure switch by the change in pressure in an air feeding pipe, in which the pressure is changed by the change in an annular area between a material to be detected and a detecting hole when the rod shaped material to be detected is inserted in the detecting hole. CONSTITUTION:In a detecting block 9, an air path 5a for guiding air from an air inlet port 5b to a detecting hole 5 is provided. An air feeding pipe 2 is connected to the air inlet port 5b. An air regulator 1 and a pressure switch 3 are provided at the intermediate parts of the pipe 2. The flow rate of the air is regulated by turning a regulating valve 1a. When the pressure in the pipe 2 exceeds a preset pressure, contact points in the pressure switch 3 are turned ON. The contact points in the pressure switch 3 are connected to a control box 10 and are operated as a sensor for the control box. |
