PURPOSE:The titled composition which needs less flame retardant, causes little dripping, and has excellent mechanical characteristics, obtained by incorporating a flame retardant and an aromatic vinyl copolymer containing a (meth)acrylic acid component as comonomer into a thermoplastic polyamide. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition consisting of 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyamide (e.g. a cyclic lactam polymer, a polycondensation product of a omega-aminocarboxylic acid, a polycondensation product of a diamine and a dibasic acid, and a mixture or copolymer of these), 0-160pts.wt. reinforcing filler (preferably glass fibers or a mica), 2-50pts.wt. aromatic vinyl copolymer containing an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid component as comonomer (preferably a styrene-methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer), and a flame retardant. |
