<p>As the traditional VTR of the helical raster type had a fixed head for the speech signal, the low relative speed between the head and tape, in high density recording resulted in poor freq. characteristics of the speech signal. In this magnetic tape recorder, the head for the speech signal is also placed on a rotating cylinder as are the video heads. The speech signal is reproduced from the same inclined track as the video signal. Even at a low speed, the relative speed between the head and the tape is sufficiently high.</p> |
