发明名称 TRANSMISSION SYSTEM OF OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain more general and more inexpensive optical fiber transmission system by roughening an edge surface which is connected to a photodetecting diode module of second optical connector. CONSTITUTION:As an edge surface 40 of a rough sourface optical connector 22 of transmission side is roughened by, say, No.1000 abrasive paper, an optical signal which travels through an optical transmission route 20 is reflected at wide range of angle. Therefore, in the reflected lights at an edge surface 40 the portion of light which may retrogress through the optical transmission route 20 is decreased, and as a result, the effect of echo due to the retrogression becomes almost negligible. Moreover, the optical signals input to a photodetecting diode module 31 through the rough surface 40 have wide range of angles being complicatedly reflected at the rough surface 40 resulting in wider range of output angles, but the increase in loss due to the wider output angle is small because the photodetecting area of the photodetecting diode module 31 is in general sufficiently larger than the diameter of optical fiber core, and also because the distance between edge surface and photodetecting surface is close enough. Thus, more general and more inexpensive transmission system of optical fiber has been realized.
