PURPOSE:To continuously transport plant modules, by loading plant modules on a module carrier ocean-ship together with pontoons carrying thereon the modules to ship the modules across the ocean by means of the carrier ocean-ship, and then by towing the pontoons with the use of a towboat in an in-land channel. CONSTITUTION:A plant facility are delivered in the form of plant modules 2 which have been completed to some degree in a manufacturing firm, and at first the modules 2 are transported to a shipping quay 4. Then, the plant modules 2 are loaded on pontoons 5 which are then towed by towboats and are assembled at a position where a module carrier ocean-ship 7 moors. Then the pontoons 5 are loaded onto the carrier ocean-ship 7 which thereafter sails across the ocean to a desired sea area. When the ship 7 reaches the desired sea area, the pontoons 5 are separated from each other and then unloaded from the ship 7. Thereafter, the pontoons 5 are towed by a towboat 6 in an in-land channel 8 to go up upstream, and then the plant modules 2 are landed. |
