The object of this invention is to protect any vehicle against theft by virtue of an electronic detection device and electromechanical and mechanical protection. The latter is ensured by non-return valves inserted in the braking or other circuit. If the key 13 is removed: anti-theft position, the slightest break-in triggers the electronic detection alarm 57 which then powers the solenoid valve 53 thus allowing the oleopneumatic accumulator 54 to discharge into the pipelines 55 and 52 and into the block 1 which comprises an additional seat (orifice 66) relating to one of the valves, in order finally to come to lock the brakes 32 by one of the pipelines 31. It is sufficient to turn the key 13 of the anti-theft device in order to reestablish the normal circuit and thus shut off the non-return valves.
