PAPER SUPPLY DEVICE FOR COPIER OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To permit continuous paper supply by controllably change over receiving sections to one selected by a memory means previously storing priority of next paper supply when the absence of paper in the receiving section under supplying paper is detected during operation of a copier. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus for selecting any one of three paper supply cassettes 1-3 set in a paper receiving section of a copier for paper supply is provided a detecting means which detects the presence of paper in the respective cassettes 1-3. Also, a control panel of the copier is provided with a input means for designating automatically another cassette when paper is absent in the selected cassette during copying operation and designating the priority of continuously supplying paper. The designated priority is stored in a memory means. And when the absence of paper in the cassette under the paper supply is detected, another cassette is selected according to the priority stored in the memory means for the continuous paper supply.
