<p>PURPOSE:To detect double feed accurately without influence of feeding speed by producing a pulse for every predetermined movement and counting said pulse during when detecting the double feed through transmitted light with correspondence to the feeding direction. CONSTITUTION:A media 19 is held between the belts 9, 10 entrained over respective pair rollers 1, 2 and 3, 4 and carried while roller groups 5-8 for controlling the feeding of said media 19 are arranged in the downstream. Transmitting section 12 and receiving section 11 for measuring the length of the media 19 and the permeated amount of light are provided in the carrying path of media 19 while transmitting section 14 and receiving section 13 for detecting arrival of media 19 to the pair of rollers 5, 6 are provided. When detecting double feed of media 19 through control circuit with correspondence to the transmitted light received by the receiving section 11, the moving pulse is counted up or down in accordance to the feeding direction of media 19 thus to enable accurate detection of double feeding.</p> |
