<p>PURPOSE:To recognize the character input state of a line to be impressed always correctly by calculating the ratio of the number of characters inputted in each line to the number of characters to be printed in a specified line and displaying the layout of the character input state in accordance with the calculated result. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 11 is provided with right and left margin specifying keys 111, 112 and a switch 113 for setting up any one of margin setting and character input modes, a CPU13 is provided with an editing memory 14 for storing character data inputted in a line and registers 15-17 for displaying layouts and the outputs of the registers 15-17 are inputted to a layout display part 24 obtained by arraying 120 segment electrodes seriously. The number of dots of the display part which corresponds to the number of digits indicating the position of the margin set up by a key 111 or 112 is calculated by the CPU13 and the layout indicating the character input state in the memory 14 is displayed in accordance with the calculated result.</p> |
