TENSION CONTROLLER FOR SUPPLY SHEET

PURPOSE:To vary the setting tensile force freely by providing a brake force controller for detecting the displacement of dancer roller to return to fixed position and a controller of sheet pressing force of dancer roller. CONSTITUTION:A dancer roller 1 is placed between guide rollers 2, 2a in the travel path of sheet S withdrawn from original roll S0. A gear jack 15 to be driven through a motor 16 will adjust the spring force of spring 14 for resiliently supporting the dancer roller 1 thus to control the pressing force of roller 1 against the sheet while the motor 16 is controlled through a sheet pressing force controller 30 containing a tensile force setter 13. The rotary drive motor 7 for the original roll S0 is provided with a brake force controller 8 to operate the necessary brake torque on the basis of the comparison results between the tensile force setting signal from the tensile force setter 13 and the displacement signal from a roller displacement detector 11 and the output from winding diameter detector 10.
