PURPOSE:To eliminate the interruption of operation of the titled apparatus by opposing and providing a sewage feed pipe against a feed port of gaseous ozone feed means in the lower end of an ozone treating pipe and also providing a filter vessel incorporated with activated carbon therein. CONSTITUTION:The sewage fed through a sewage feed pipe 3 and gaseous ozone fed through a gaseous ozone feed means 4 are introduced into an ozone treating pipe 5 from a lower end thereof and the sewage is subjected to ozone treatment such as sterilization and deodorization while ascending through the ozone treating pipe 5. The ozone-treated sewage is flown out from the upper end of the ozone treating pipe 5 and impregnated into the activated carbon layer 60 incorporated in a filter vessel 6 from the surface thereof and the dirty substances such as organic materials are removed. The sewage impregnated into the activated carbon layer 60 is separated from the layer 60 and flowed out to the water passages 8A, 8B via the water passage ports 7 and overflowed from the upper end of the water passage 8A to flow into a water collection pipe 81 as the treated water. |
