PURPOSE:To make accurate intermittent control of a rotor practicable by engaging an indexing pin, provided on a lever operating in the axial direction of the rotor, with a plurality of grooves arranged on the periphery of the rotor in the direction to twist the rotor, and forcing the pin to operate in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:When the upper electrode 32 and a work body 19 go upward, an indexing pin 22 hits the groove wall 8 at an opening 7 of the next stage angular indexing guide groove 5 and goes up. Consequently, a rotor 2 turns following the twist of the guide groove 5 and makes position indexing relating to the angular indexing position 6 at the next position. Accordingly, a shaft piece 14 turns to allow a locking pin 38 to move within a guide groove 35 together with movement of first jig 36, second jig 41, an auxiliary electrode 44 and a workpiece 50 to be welded etc. to index the spot welding positions. Thus annularly arranged welding positions are index owing to reciprocal movement of the work body 19 and the turn of rotor 2 can be controlled intermittenty and accuartely by the axial movement of the indexing pin 22 without using a motor or the like. |
