PURPOSE:To wind long pipe without causing buckling even over a winding drum having small diameter by inserting filler from the starting end of winding of long pipe to the proximity while gradually reducing the bending rigidity. CONSTITUTION:Filler 4 is formed with polyethylene rod having inclined face 4a at one end to reduce the bending rigidity gradually along the inclination 4a. The filler 4 is inserted from said inclined end 4a to the starting end of winding 1A of long pipe 1 made of polyethylene. Under this state, said end 1A is secured through a clamp metal 3 onto the circumferential face of the drum section 2A of winding drum 2 then the long pipe 1 is wound continuously over the circumferential face of drum 2A. In such a manner, the starting end of winding of long pipe 1 and its proximity are bent gradually through filler 4 along the circumferential face of the drum 2A thus to prevent buckling. |
