PURPOSE:To provide a flux for brazing which has the excellent wet spreadability in brazing to Al (alloy) and improves corrosion resistance after brazing by incorporating the fluoride of elements to improve the wettability of solder or/ and the fluoride of the elements forming a sacrificial anode film into KBF4. CONSTITUTION:The fluoride of the elements to increase the wettability of the solder refers to >=1 kinds among CuF2, AgF and AuF in the I B-group of periodic table, CaF2 and MgF2 in the IIA-group, ZnF2 and CdF2 in the IIB-group and AlF3 and GaF3 in the IIIB-group. The fluoride of the elements forming the sacrificial anode film on the surface of the material to be brazed refers to >=1 kinds among ZnF2 and CdF2 in the IIB-group of the periodic law table and CaF2 and MgF2 in the IIA-group. The selected fluoride is incorporated preferably at <=20wt% in order to improve the wettability and is incorporated at <=45wt% in order to form the sacrificial anode film. |
