PURPOSE:To maintain good tightening condition even when a motor for driving the supporting drum of winder is under regenerative braking motion by inverting the polarity of outer diameter signal of winding drum when said motor will transfer from powering operation to braking operation. CONSTITUTION:The winder is comprised of first drum 11 for feeding long material 1 to winding drum 2 and second drum 12 for tightening the long material 1 with correspondence to the variation of the outer diameter of the winding drum 2. A motor 22 for driving second drum 12 is controlled to reduce the driving torque in accordance to the output from winding drum outer diameter detector 3. Here, transfer from powering operation to regenerative braking operation is detected on the basis of torque polarity signal Tp from a speed regulator 32 thus to invert the polarity of the output signal from a polarity inverter 40 to be reverse from that of the outer diameter signal. Consequently, the braking torque to be produced from the motor 22 can be reduced thus to weaken tightening of long material 1. |
