PURPOSE:To prevent cargo materials on conveyance from being scattered from a belt conveyor in which cargo materials are disposed and conveyed in the cylindrical section thereof, by stretching sling feed wires along a belt and by attaching, to the sling feed wires, sling wires for moving the belt. CONSTITUTION:When a prime mover 18 is driven, head pulleys 7, 7' are rotated by means of transmission means 19-21 to move sling feed wires 10, 10'. Then sling wires 24 attached to the sling feed wires 10, 10' and a belt 5 suspended by the sling wires 24 are moved. At this time the belt 5 which is flatly wound around a head pulley 2 and a tail pulley 4 is formed in a cylindrical shape by the sling wires 10, 10' which are fed out from the tail pulleys 9, 9' and squeezed by supporting rollers 12, 12' positioned on the most upstream side, and the sling wires 24, and is fed with the cylindrical shape being held as it is. Accordingly, when cargo materials 27 are fed from a supply chute 25, the materials are stored and conveyed in the inside space of the cylindrical shape belt 5, and are discharged from a discharge chute 26. |
