METHOD FOR DETECTING RUNAWAY OF PROGRAM

PURPOSE:To detect the runaway of a program instantaneously by discriminating whether an address accessed simultaneously with the access of a storage part or the like can be branched or not. CONSTITUTION:A CPU1 accesses a sequential program memory 2 or the other memory 2 or a register or the like and executes a prescribed program to execute a branch instruction. At the fetch of the succeeding instruction after said execution, a branch detecting circuit 3 detects the execution of the branch instruction and generates a branch instruction. Receiving the branch signal and a branch control flag outputted from a branch control memory 4, a program runaway detecting circuit 5 detects the branch of the program to an inhibitted address and generates a runaway detecting signal.
