<p>The video signal is received by an A/D converter (1) coupled to a differencing stage (11) operating on successive values. A comparator (13) operates on the difference signal and a reference indicating a threshold value. The output increments a counter (15) coupled to a decoder (17) to identify ghost signal transmissions. - The time delay of the ghost signals is monitored by a counter (19) in terms of the number of sampling signals (4fsc). In the case that up to 4 ghost signal components may be generated, there are 4 channels (21a-21d) to generate digital signal samples. Each channel has a latch (23a), a down counter (25a), a RAM memory (29a) and a multiplier (31a). The multipliers receive coeffts. (Ca-Cd) from a generator (35) controlled by the identification circuit. The outputs of the channels are summed (33).</p> |
