<p>Prodn.of ureidoacyl-penicillin derivs. of formula (I) comprises reaction of ethylene diisocyanate of formula ONC-CH2CH2-NCO (II) with aminoacyl -penicillin derivs. of formula (VI) in a suitable organic solvent or in aq.soln. under alkaline conditions at between -10 deg.C and reflux temp.: R1 = phenyl or hydroxyphenyl; R2 = H, trimethylsilyl, benzyl, p-nitrobenzyl, p-methoxybenzyl, Na, K or Ca. - Also claimed prodn. of ureidoacyl -penicillin derivs. of formula (I) by H2N-CHR1-COOH (III) in a suitable organic solvent or in aq. soln. under alkaline conditions at 0 deg.C to room temp., and reaction of the resulting ureido acid deriv. of form-ula (IV) with a 6-aminopenicillanic acid deriv. of formula (V):</p> |
