<p>Steel alloy having high tensile strength, metal-to-metal wear resistance and oxidn. resistance consists of (in wt.%): C 1.0 max. pref. 0.05 max. more pref. 0.04 max.; Mn 10-16 pref. 11-14 more pref. 12-13.5; P 0.07 max.; S 0.1 max.; Si 4-6 pref. 4.5-5.2; Cr 4-6 pref. 4.7-5.3; Ni 4-6 pref. 5-5.5; N 0.05 max. and Fe the balance. Pref. alloy is cast and hot and/or cold worked. Up to 3% Mo or Al can be substitd. for C on a 1:1 basis and up to 4% Cu may be substitd. for Ni on a 2:1 basis.</p> |
