Arrow-type training projectile

The projectile for training purposes comprises a sheath which falls away after leaving the gun barrel. An arrow-type sub-calibre projectile (1) has peripheral destabilisation devices. These devices function after a predetermined trajectory, under the effect of pressure generated by gas expansion when in the barrel. - The source of this pressure is independent and inside the projectile proper. There can be a chamber (2) in the projectile which contains a gas bottle (3).
