A first retainer piece has top and bottom surfaces interconnected by bars (108) arranged in pairs. The bars of a pair have confronting curved surfaces (110) between which one of several cylindrical torque transmission rollers (80) are rotatably retained. - The bars of each pair have further surfaces (112) which continuously taper inwardly towards each other. The bars meet at an apex (136), each bar thus being wedge shaped. The apices of adjacent pairs of bars are spaced.
