The converter has pair(s) of mutually co-acting switching transistors (TR1,TR2). The first transistor is controlled with a frequency exceeding the control frequency of the second transistor. A diode (D1,D2) is provided between the emitter and collector of the transistors. A voltage source (N1) is activated when the first transistor (TR1) conducts current. The transistor supplies a reverse recovery current (1rr) through the diode (D2) of the second transistor (TR2) in the reverse direction of the diode. - The voltage source may be a winding (N1) on a transformer (N1,N2). The supply voltage (U) of the transistor is supplied when the first transistor (TR1) is energised to the conducting mode. The winding reverse biases the diode of the second transistor. Alternatively a voltage source such as a battery is energised synchronously with the energisation of the first transistor, and reverse biases the second transistor's diode.
|
