Hot coke receiving device comprises (a) a ring-like horizontal frame surrounding the outer periphery of the coke bucket body without contact, the frame being connected to the discharge gate by a pair of rods ; (b) a pair of outwardly projecting trunnions at opposing points on the frame; (c) a pair of vertical hanger beams secured near but apart from the position of the trunnions; and (d) the vertical beams have a projecting block which engages the trunnions.
