<p>Prepn. of block-polymers of formula AxByCz is claimed Ax=aromatic polyvinyl-and/or polyisopropenyl block; By=opt. hydrogenated diene block; Cx=polypivalolactone block and x,y,z=integers, x being 25-750, y 200-3000 and z 5-200. The process comprises:- (a) polymerisation of the aromatic vinyl- and/or isopropenyl monomer, (b) addn. of the diene on the prod. formed in (a); (c) addn. of functional COOH gps. on the lining AB polymer obtd. in (b) leading the AB polymer to react initially with CO2 and (d) addn. of the pivalolactone on the polymer obtd. in (c).</p> |
