<p>A liq. detergent compsn. comprises 25 to 60 wt.% solids suspended in a non-aq. liq. phase. The solids comprise a builder. The liquids comprise at least 20 wt.% of a condensation product (a) of ethylene oxide with a mono-, di- or tri-hydroxy 1-4C alkane of mol. wt. 150-600. - The liq. phase comprises 50-85 % (a) and 5-50% surfactant; (a) is polyethylene glycol, mol. wt. 200-300. The solids comprise a builder, 25-60% of the compsn., a bleach, 2-15% of the compsn., and opt. a filler. Particle size of the solids is less than 10 microns dia. Pour point is below 0 deg. C. The builder is a phosphate, carbonate, clay, zeolite or sodium or potassium metasilicate, citrate or nitrilotriacetate. The bleach is sodium or potassium perborate or percarbonate. The surfactant is non-ionic, e.g. an alkylene oxide, deriv. or an amide, alkyl phenol or alcohol; an ionic surfactant may also be present. A suitable filler is sodium or potassium sulphate.</p> |
