<p>The top and bottom sector support flanges (32,34) are removably mounted on the top and bottom of the rotor riser (16) and each has pairs of radial slots (22). A diaphragm plate (30) is spot welded into one of each pair of slots and connection traverses are spot welded between neighbouring diaphragm plates. - Each diaphragm plate is welded onto both support flanges and the sub-compartments are mounted on the riser in fixing pin holes (40), in the top flange. The welding of the diaphragm to the traverse is completed. The above steps are repeated as necessary, and the central rotor and sub-compartments are dispatched for site assembly.</p> |
