The process comprises reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with a substitd. carbonyl isocyanate of formula (III) where X is oxygen or sulphur, R1-4 are different types of radicals while R5 can be one of various radicals. The reaction is carried out in absolute toluene at b.pt. of the reaction mixt. e.g. with aminase, R6N(COCl)2 (where R6=alkyl) in the presence of acid acceptors. The prods. are 1-(4-phenoxyphenyl) -1,3,5-triazines and their physically compatible salts of formula (I).
