PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having high sensitivity, reduced in the browning and whitening of a recorded image and excellent in heat resistance, water resistance and humidity resistance, constituted by respectively using a specific bisphenol compound as a coupler and a water soluble polyamide resin as a binder. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal color forming layer containing a leuco dye (e.g., 3-N-methyl-3-N-cyclohexylamino-6-methyl-7- anilinofluorane), a coupler and a binder as main components is provided on a support, as said coupler, a bisphenol compound represented by formula (wherein n is 1 or 2) is used and, as said binder, a water soluble polyamide resin (e.g., one obtained by condensing polymerized fatty acid and diamine) is used. |
