Zeolite L in which the cystallites have a hexagonal cross-section, preferably being in the form of well-defined, smooth-surfaced hexagonal rods with a mean diameter of 0.5 to 4 micron and an aspect ratio of from 1 to 5, show increased selectivity to bezene when used as a catalyst substrate on the aromatization of C6 aliphatic hydrocarbons. |
