PURPOSE:To enable a user himself/herself of write and rewrite an optional message by providing a function to a selective call receiver so that the user can operate a selection switch for message writing address to write the message to a RAM. CONSTITUTION:A selection switch SW for message writing address is operated previously to give the A/D conversion to a voice message supplied through a mike M and to write it to a RAM via a control part CONT. The selection signal received by a radio receiver RF is identified by a decoder DEC. Then the message designation signal which is received consecutively is decoded by the DEC in case a selection signal is allocated to own. An access is given to the RAM via a control part with the address of said designation signal. Based on this address, the message stored previously in the RAM undergoes the D/A conversion and is outputted in voice through a speaker. Thus, it is not required for a carrier of a selective call receiver to give an immediate answer to a caller through a telephone even though said carrier receives a call. In such a way, the operation load of the user is reduced. |
