PURPOSE:To confirm an original position where an original density detecting sensor is functioned and to form a picture having proper density by an automatic density adjusting device by forming a display part for confirming the detecting range of said sensor fitted to a scanner. CONSTITUTION:A detecting range 6 of the original density detecting sensor 2 is displayed on a contact glass as a transmissible yellow part and the width 7a, 7b of a moving area 7 of the sensor 2 are displayed on both the sides of the glass 3. A display part 8 is formed on the periphery of the sensor 2 to be moved unitedly with the scanner 1. When the sensor 2 moves in the rectangular direction to the scanning direction of the scanner 1, a display part 9 corresponding to a locus obtained by actually moving the sensor 2 is displayed on the glass 3 as a yellow part. Thus, the setting of the original surface on respective display parts 6-9 makes it possible to detect the density of the original surface part precisely by the sensor 2, controls a developing bias voltgage, the light of an exposure lamp, etc. on the basis of the density and forms a picture having proper density. |
