PURPOSE:To externally and accurately close an exhaust tube by engaging a drive gear with a tightening gear and rotating a tightening main body, moving the drive gear together with a rotarh stand, and applying specified fixed tightening force to a packing. CONSTITUTION:While an exhaust cart 11 is fixed to a preset position, a move stand 36 is advanced and a stopper 52 is stopped by making contact to an exhaust port 14. Then, a rotary shaft 48 is rotated by approximately 180 deg. in the reverse direction where a drive gear 51 is freed. The drive gear 51 is slightly rotated in the rotary direction of the rotary shaft 48 by an exceedingly slight friction. Simultaneously with this, a move stand 40 is rotated and the drive gear 51 is engaged with the tightening gear 25 of an exhaust cart 11. Then, the drive gear 51 is rotated by approximately 180 deg. in the forward direction and the tightening body is rotated in the tightening direction with the tightening gear 25. A packing is compressed and press-fit on the circumference of the exhaust tube. Subsequently, the rotary stand 40 is rotated until the engagement between the driver gear 51 and tightening gear 25 is removed and the tightening gear 25 is further rotated and tightened. |
