<p>PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a magnetic bearing caused by deviation of a shaft by disposing a clearance permitting a bearing to move in the radial direction between an outer race of a roller bearing and a case in an emergency roller bearing of a magnetic bearing device. CONSTITUTION:A roller bearing 6 is disposed on both end portions of a rotary shaft 2, thereby to support the rotary shaft 2 when a magnetic bearing is uncontrollable. Both roller bearings 6 are constructed so that an outer race 7 thereof is supported by a case 1, and there are a radial clearance beta and a thrust clearance beta' between an inner race 8 and the rotary shaft 2 in such a manner that the rotaty shaft 2 is supported by the inner race 8 when a magnetic bearing is uncontrollable. The bearing 6 positioned apart from the center of gravity of the rotary shaft 2 is provided with a clearance alpha permitting the bearing to move in the radial direction between the outer race 7 and the case 1 supporting the outer race.</p> |
