The invention relates to the manufacture of a lamp. According to the invention, a lamp base formed by sides 5, 6, 7 and 8 made of a high quality material fitted onto internal linings 4, 4' for example by gluing. The assembly is capped top and bottom by covers 13 and 15 comprising orifices 19, 20 aligned with the orifices 17 and 18 made on the internal linings 4, 4' and through which passes the threaded rod 21 enabling the assembly to be fixed together by engaging at an upper position the socket 23 and at a lower position the locking bolt 29, with insertion of the hollow column 22 and the elements 24 and 25 forming the bottom.
