Reduction-denitration process using ammonia and apparatus for its implementation

摘要

Reduction-denitration process using ammonia for exhaust gas containing NOx and chiefly NO2, and an apparatus for implementing this process. The said process consists in treating the exhaust gases with ammonia, using a catalyst active both in a reaction NO2 + NH3 -> N2 + N2O + H2O and a reaction N2O + NH3 -> N2 + H2O, at a surface velocity of 5 m/h or less and at an NH3/NO2 concentration ratio of 1.3 or more. This process makes it possible to reduce NO2 present in exhaust gases with ammonia in a single stage without producing N2O.
