PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head device wherein the distance between the recording and reproducing gap and the erasing gap is short, suitable for high- density recording, and having excellent recording and reproducing efficiency by limiting the peripheral length of a winding window for recording and reproducing. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of the thinnest part of a recording and reproducing core is regulated to <=tcmm. in a head, and the peripheral length (l) of a winding window for recorcing and reproducing is regulated to <=30tcmm.. The recording and reproducing core 3 consisting of Mn-Zn ferrite and an erasing core 4 are joined through a shilding plate 5. The efficiency is suddenly decreased at <=about 200mum thickness tc of the recording core, and the device is not practical. Although the distance between the recording and reproducing gap and the erasing gap is reduced, namely, the recording and reproducing core is thinned in this way, high recording and reproducing efficiency can be maintained. Consequently, a magnetic head device suitable for high-density recording and reproducing can be obtained. |
