The invention relates to heavy and stable isotopes which are synthesised in medicinal products and the like by transmutation of their light isotopes. The process is characterised in that by pressurisation using cold physical plasma, part of its protons undergo transmutation, by K capture, into cold neutrons and into heavy isotopes: <2>H (D), <13>C, <15>N, <18>O, <25,26>Mg, <34,36>S, <37>Cl, <41>K, <42,43,44,46,48>Ca, and by gaseous crystallisation: Ar, Kr, Xe, Rn, these heavy isotopes are preserved in the form of crystalline hydrates-clatrates and of microcrystals of salts. The apparatus consists of a cold chamber 1, a door 2, a cooler 3, a cock 4 for introducing heavy inert gases, a cock 5 for evacuating positive ions, water vapour and light gases, shelves 6 for placing receptacles 7 containing: medicinal products and the like intended for loading with cold slow neutrons (heavy isotopes). <IMAGE>
