<p>PURPOSE:To process a card while identifying whether a format is one track format or two-track format by providing two heads, read/write common head and a read only to plural tracks in a card processing device. CONSTITUTION:In loading a card 1 from a card loading slit 2, it is detected by a detection section 9, a control signal from a control circuit 8 opens a shutter mechanism 3, a card loader 4 is activated to lead the card 1 to a carrying mechanism 5. While the card is being carried, the read/write common head and the read only head read respectively the card on the 1st and 2nd trackes so as to discriminated that the card recording format uses the 1st track only (old type) or both the 1st and 2nd tracks are used (new type), and the processing and write are execued depending on the result. The content read and processed is displayed on a display means 14 and the card is returned after the processing.</p> |
