STRUCTURE OF COUPLING SECTION FOR HEAT EXCHANGING PANEL

PURPOSE:To keep watertightness between the heat exchanging panel and the coupling surely and facilitate positioning of the coupling by a method wherein either one of the coupling or the heat exchanging panel is provided with a protrusion for preventing leakage of water and the other of them is provided with a recess while the protrusion and the recess are engaged mutually. CONSTITUTION:The vicinity of a notch 9 of the heat exchanging panel 1 is pinched by the coupling 4, the coupling 4 is positioned by engaging the protrusions 6 at both sides of the coupling 4 with the recesses 7 at the shoulder section of the heat exchanging panel 1, the protrusion 6 at the tip end of a partitioning section 5 is engaged with the recess 7 of a central rib 8 to position the partitioning section 5 and the panel and coupling are pressed from upper and lower sides thereof by a heat press or the like to seal the peripheral rim of the coupling 4 and the heat exchanging panel 1 through thermal fursing. According to this method, the tip end of the partitioning section 5 is sealed surely by the engagement of the protrusion 6 and the recess 7 and mixing of fluids will never be caused so far as the length of a gap is shorter than the length of the protrusion 6 even if the gap is existing between the panel 1 and the coupling 4 and leakage of water from an inflow port 2 or outflow port 3 may be prevented by the engagement of the recess 7 and the protrusion 6.
