PURPOSE:To restrain the blast-up and speed change shock of an engine for performing satisfactory shift-up by setting the termination time of overlapping period in the shift-up according to intake throttle opening and rotational frequency of an engine. CONSTITUTION:Since the output torque of an engine in shift-up is determined by the opening of a intake throttle and the rotational frequency of the engine, the overlapping period in the shift-up is set on the basis of the output torque. The overlapping period is set by a solenoid valve 70 for controlling the overlap. For example, when the shift-up is performed from the second speed change stage to the third one, frictional engaging units 34, 44 in both speed change stages are simultaneously operated during at that time. |
