PURPOSE:To obtain a wide-band and low-distortion transmission characteristic by inserting a buffer amplifier between the output of a balanced modulator and the input of an insulating transformer and holding down the time constant due to a signal source and a primary winding L of the input of the transformer to a small value to raise a carrier pulse frequency. CONSTITUTION:An insulating transformer 6, a balance modulator 3 in the input side of the transformer, and a demodulator 7 in the output side of the transformer are provided, and carrier clocks of 50% duty are supplied to the modulator 3 and the demodulator 7, and buffer amplifiers 5a and 5b are provided between the output of the modulator 3 and the input of the transformer 6. When the modulator 3 is constituted with an active switch in this case, a long time constant circit is formed by its turn-on resistance and the inductance of the primary winding of the transformer 6. However, formation of this circuit is stopped because amplifiers 5a and 5b are interposed, and therefore, carrier clocks having a higher frequency is used to obtain a higher-speed (wider-band) transmission characteristic. |
