PURPOSE:A food, containing dried powder and/or extract and/or extract powder of the leaf part of Japanese radish as an active constituent, and capable of improving scoliosis or bad postural habit which is a prodromic form thereof. CONSTITUTION:A posture orthotic food containing dried powder and/or extract and/or extract powder of the leaf part of Japanese radish as an essential component. The leaf of the Japanese radish contains Ca, particularly Ca components which can be easily taken and excellent for increase in blood Ca concentration together with other components particularly vitamin K, are believed to bond to amino acids contained in rice brewed vinegar KOJI or SAKE KOJI incorporated if necessary to promote absorption and metabolism in muscles. Thus, the reinforcing muscle around the backbone is first strengthened, resulting in gradual orthosis of abnormality in bones, e.g. scoliosis, etc. Any food form may be taken as the posture orthotic food, and the intake amount thereof is about 1,000-10,000mg for adults and about 2/3 for children and aboud 1/3 for infants based on the above-mentioned amount for the adults. |
