PURPOSE:To restrain restoring force to a steering system to facilitate its operation by making the tie rods of front wheels positioned on the outside of turning and a steering link nearly linearly aligned condition when said front wheels are steered nearly to the maximum angle. CONSTITUTION:The steering system of right and left front wheels 1a, 1b consists of a steering handle 12, a steering link 13 which is interlocked with the rotary shaft of the steering handle 12 while the fulcrum of rotation Q at the cen- ter of the right and left of a machine body, tie rods 14a, 14b which are rotatably supported on the both ends of the steering link 13, and knuckle arms 16a, 16b which swing case parts 15a, 15b that support right and left axles 11a, 11b, centering around axes Pa, Pb respectively, and which are connected to the tie rods 14a, 14b. Each of the component parts are set in such a way that, when right and left front wheels 1a, 1b are steered to near the maximum angle, the tie rod 14 of the front wheel 1 positioned on the outside of turning is aligned nearly linearly. |
