PURPOSE:To communicate the unusual condition with a computer by which message is transmitted, from a transmitting computer to other computer and to exchange effectively messages by providing a timer, and counting time till a response message transmitted from the transmitting computer is received. CONSTITUTION:In the case of transmitting a message from a computer 1 to a computer 2, a transmitting device 11 drives a timer 13, which counts during a fixed time. When the computer 2 receives a message from the computer 1, it takes the message in a message receiving area 25 through a receiving device 22 to send out a response message to the computer 1 through a sending device 21. The receiving device of the computer 1 receives it and resets the timer 13. In this case, when there is something wrong with the computer 2, and time is out without resetting the timer 13, the computer 1 detects the unusual condition of the computer 2, and notifies to other computer 3 through the device 11 as well as taking a necessary inner processing. Thus, sending out a message from the computer 3 to the computer 2 is stopped immediately, so that the effective exchange of messages can be made between the computers. |
